Here’s how to alter the email address for your account on Mastodon:

1. Sign in on your server’s website or web app
2. If you’re on a computer click ⚙️ Preferences. If you’re on mobile click ☰ in the bottom right and then ⚙️ Preferences.
3. If you’re on a computer click Account on the left of the screen. If you’re on mobile click ☰ in the top right and then click Account on the menu that appears (you may need to scroll down the screen to see the full menu on some devices).
4. Replace your old email address with the new email address, and enter your current password in the Current password box.
5. Click the Save Changes button
6. Your server will send you a confirmation email. Go to it in your email app and click on the confirmation link. (You need to do this last step for the change to actually happen.)
