Flohmarkt (German for “flea market”) is a Fediverse platform designed for selling second-hand goods to people who live near you. It’s like a Fediverse alternative to Craigslist or Gumtree.
Flohmarkt servers are designed for specific geographical areas, so you can browse the one that is nearest to you to see if there’s anything you want to buy. You can then contact the seller through Mastodon etc to arrange to pick up or receive whatever you’re buying.
Flohmarkt is still in its early days and is rough round the edges, but you can find out more on the Flohmarkt wiki ⧉ including a list of public Flohmarkt servers ⧉. If you’re techy there is also lots more info on Flohmarkt’s Codeberg page ⧉.
