You can watch PeerTube videos offline by downloading them onto your device:

1. Go to the video on the web or the official PeerTube app
2. Click ⋯ below the video
3. Select Download

Once the video has been downloaded, you no longer need an internet connection to watch it.

I can’t see a download option for a video?

Downloads are only available if the video’s uploader allows them. If there’s no download option it means the uploader doesn’t allow downloads of that video.

I am a video uploader, how do I activate or deactivate downloads?

1. Sign in on your PeerTube server’s website
2. Click Videos
3. On the video you want to activate/deactivate downloads for, click Manage
4. Click Customisation
5. On the box marked Enable Download, tick it to allow downloads or untick it to not allow downloads
6. Click the Save button at the top

I am a video uploader, will downloads show up in my video’s stats?

Yes, downloads show on a video’s stats but they are in a separate “Downloads” category rather than views.
